Hi Guys,
You may or may not have noticed that www.overtoncricket.com now takes you to a different site. This is our play-cricket website. We've had it for a few years but we've not really used it. A few changes to how the site works combined with our own increased web usage has convinced me to use this as our primary website.
There are numerous advantages by using this site.
Another thing I'm working on is the setting up of specific email addresses for the committee in the form of role@overtoncricket.com (e.g. chairman@overtoncricket.com; sunday@overtoncricket.com; orc@overtoncricket.com)
Anyway this is your website and I would like to know what you think. Please give me your feedback either by phone, email (through the play-cricket website) or when you bump into me down the pub.
Go on! Check it out! You know you want to!

There are numerous advantages by using this site.
- It is widely used by other clubs in the country, many in our region allowing interaction between the clubs
- It is technically very well maintained
- We can use it to submit our scorecards to the local press quickly and easily.
- If used correctly it will track all the basic stats (no where near as well as me but I am the best stato in the business)
- It is easy to use so volunteer match reporters (hint hint) can easily produce professional looking (if not reading) reports.
- Committee members can be contacted through the website without the need to publish personal email addresses and phone numbers
- Things like meeting minutes can be easily posted in the news section allowing all of the club to see what is happening.
- If you register and spend a little bit of time on there you will find a lot of interesting areas including it's own message board, a club shop facility (at an additional charge) and a calender to keep people informed of what is going on.
