Just to remind you of the qualification.
All awards go to paid up members of the club for the 2006 season.
Just to remind you of the qualification.
All awards go to paid up members of the club for the 2006 season.
- The Chairmans Award is decided by Graham Devereux who considers all aspects of the cricket club and how individuals contribute both on & off the pitch
- The 1st XI Batsman goes to the person who has the highest average and has batted in 9 or more innings.
- The 1st XI Bowler goes to the person with the lowest average runs per wicket who has bowled over 65 overs
- The Scorers Trophy is awarded to the person with the highest combined total of catches, run outs & stumpings for all Overton teams.
- The Paul Trott Trophy goes to the batsman who has the highest run average in all friendly games having batted in 50% of them (This year 6 innings)
- The Phil Maroney Trophy goes to the bowler who has the lowest average in friendlies having played in at least 50% of the matches and bowled a minimum of 15 overs.
- The Twenty20 awards will follow similar lines but the stats are behind so I don't have enough info at the moment. It will be 50% of the games and probably 12 overs like last year.
- The Big Hitter goes to the person who has scored the most sixes with four's being the tie breaker. (this is actually a very close three horse race right now!)
- The Fantasy Player can either be done or totals like last year or, by popular demand average. This is only a fun thing remember (and right now it won't make a difference....)
- The King Duck goes to the person with the most ducks, with golden ducks being the tie breaker. If things are still tied (..hint hint...) then the waistcoat should be shared. I could have done balls faced for those ducks but not every score sheet records the balls faced.
